John Borden
President
John has been with Harvest since it founding in 2015. As President, John oversees the firm’s investment strategy and operations.
Previously, John was a principal with Jacoby Development, a national developer of office, retail and mixed-use projects, including Atlantic Station, the largest urban brownfield redevelopment in the nation at the time. At Jacoby, John served on the development team for the development of the North American headquarters for Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta, the re-development of the Marineland Dolphin Park in Marineland, Florida, and the initial development of ONE Daytona, a lifestyle and entertainment center adjacent to the Daytona International Speedway.
John received his law degree from The University of Georgia and his B.A. in Economics from Rhodes College.
Joshua Mitchell
Vice President
Josh manages relationships with the firm’s development partners and oversees the full investment process. His responsibilities include sourcing, underwriting, financing, and executing investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Harvest in 2018, Josh was a Director at Southern Land Company, a national mixed‐use developer, where he focused on underwriting development opportunities. Before joining the real estate industry, Josh was with Grant Thornton where he provided valuation services.
Josh received his Master of Real Estate Development degree from Clemson University, his Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and his B.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina State University.
